Part of a email that I and a group of people received today:

"Your wives and children are welcome to come as well. (Sorry about that John T :( "

What is that? Why do people do that??

I don't get it...what does it mean?

Sorry you don't have a wife, John? Sorry you're not married? You seriously put that in an email??

That's like me saying, "Hey everybody, we're going to the beach today, so bring your bathing suit. (Ooo, sorry about that, Mandy :("
